Splashing and Fighting at Disneyland

When you are little, and our guys are little, you don’t measure yourself in inches. You measure yourself in the things you're finally BIG ENOUGH to do. This year both boys were BIG ENOUGH to ride Splash Mountain at Disneyland. Even more exciting was that they were BIG ENOUGH to train in the Star Wars Jedi Academy and take on Darth Vader.

The Darth Vader story is both sad and joyful. Both boys were excited to try to get picked for the Jedi Academy, but only Sam was chosen. He of course was thrilled to be picked, but he could see the complete sadness in his brother’s face. Toby cried. He was heartbroken. Sam did a great job fighting Darth Vader, and then cheered Toby on a few hours later when he got chosen to train. Toby was so proud to be chosen and afterwards we treated them to new light sabers to celebrate.
