Can I Wear a Tie?

Sam - Mommy, where's Daddy?

Mommy - He went to work.

Sam - Why does he always go to work?

Mommy - So he can make money. So we can have a house, food, clothes, toys and to be able to go places.

Sam - Why does Daddy wear a tie?

Mommy - Well he is a professional and it is part of his outfit.

Sam - I want to wear a tie.

Mommy - OK.

Sam - Do I have a tie?

Mommy - Yes.

Sam - Can I wear it now?

Mommy - Sure thing kiddo, let's go get you dressed.

Sam - Toby! Mommy said we can wear ties today!

Sam and Toby - Screams of delight!

Who knew that 4 year olds would ever want to wear something as constricting as a tie? I guess when they love and admire their daddy as much as Sam and Toby do, they want to dress and be just like him. On numerous occasions Sam has commented that when he grows up he is going to be just like Daddy because he is his best friend. Warms my heart through and through. So today for no special reason other than they want to be like Daddy, the boys have on dress shirts and ties. We are headed off to Walmart and then to Grams, it should be interesting to see the other shopper's faces. I am suddenly feeling under dressed.
We gave up on keeping the shirts tucked in, just not plausible when playing.
