Spring Break 2010

With 5 days off from school it can be real easy for us to get bored. For this very reason our Mom found us plenty of activities and adventures to keep us moving.

On Sunday we woke up super early to drive to CA for a baptism and 1st birthday party for our friend Joseph. We had a great time playing with the balloons at the party and even more fun taking a scooter stroll after we got checked in to our hotel. For dinner we enjoyed some cold chicken, apples, cheese and yogurt sitting in the beautiful air of twilight.

Up early on Monday we drove home and couldn't wait to play the Wii. It was nice to be home.
On Tuesday we picked up our friends Abby, Nolan, Megan and Morgon (and their moms) for a short road trip to Red Rock Canyon. The wind was blowing so hard we could barely get out of the van. We stopped a few places, and really enjoyed checking out the tent caterpillars that were all over the bushes. On the way back to town we stopped at Spring Mt. Ranch and played for at least an hour with sticks in a grassy field. Who knew it could be so much fun to just be outside?

Wednesday we had Caitie over to play. We took a quick trip to the Bellagio Botanical Gardens. We met our friends there and had a pretty good time checking out the wonderful flower creations. It was super busy and we really had to watch where we walked. The ride on the City Center tram was great, especially when we were the only ones in the car and could move around. To round off our day with Caitie we had McDonald Happy Meals and played in the play area.

Thursday was a kick back day at Gram's house. We watched all 3 Star Wars movies and snuggled. After choir we raced back to Boulder City to see a living drama of the Last Supper. As each of the Apostles spoke and asked Jesus "Is it I?" Sam would say not so quietly, "No, it's Judas". It was hard not to laugh.

Friday we hung out at home, and our friends Ainsley and Aiden came over to play. We bounced on the trampoline, took them to see our new house, and ate a late lunch at The Pit Stop. They have the best fry sauce in the world.

Tomorrow we hope to go see the robots. We aren't sure what Mom means by that, but she said we will see. Sunday is Easter. We have a fun picnic planned and have been helping Mom get ready for it.

Oh and our Painted Lady Caterpillars have tripled in size in the past 2 days. They are amazing!
