Oh The Things You Will Learn!

Today while my sons did their homework, I found myself warm and fuzzy with tears welling up in my eyes. The reason why - I love homework time. I love listening to them sound out words, spell, read their beginner books and oh boy do I love watching their precious little hands use a pencil.
Both boys are bringing home books to read now. Sam started over a month ago and is ready to bring book 5 home this week. Toby brought his first book home Friday and he is proud as can be. With these books also comes extra homework of reading them and completing the comprehension and spelling sheets - even over the weekend. Bring it on!
This is an amazing time in their lives. For me to be able to stay home and have un-rushed time to encourage and focus on their education is the best gift. Getting to help in the classroom and be a part of their excitement -fills my heart with joy. Taking photos of their little hands hard at work a perk.

I am lucky and I am grateful.

I love having them read to me instead of the other way at bedtime. It is so amazing to me how much they have grown up already.

How precious! You are a SUPER Mother! I never cease to be amazed at all the things you accomplish;and still make time to enjoy your two sons.I realize that every day is special and we can never re-capture those wonderful moments;if we let them pass us by.
I enjoy your updates. Thanks very much for keeping us up to date with Sam and Toby's exciting lives.
I am really amazed that the class can be so "one on one" that the teacher actually knows what level each child is and when to send them on to the next book and homework.Mrs. Zapolski is a great teacher. You are lucky she is still teaching.Of course,it is super that she is at the private school and the class has so few students. That will surely make Sam and Toby get more attention.I didn't know you are helping in the class. That's great.
I showed Bob the picture of the little hands. He is also impressed with your photography.
Love,
Mrs. C

Wow, my precious daughter - you never cease to amaze me - I just saw the text with the boys doing homework and the picture of a sweet hand and fingers practicing writing.
Not to mention the words of the best Mother in the world. I am so proud of you. You made me cry happy tears today......like I used to do when I watched and helped all my little chickadees do the same thing. I love you so much. Never - ever change !!!
All my love and hugs and kisses ( you know I cant get enough hugs and kisses) Your Proud Mom.
