Lifting the Glue Lam

Our new house is under way.

Grandpa Reed has been knocking down walls and creating the space we want to live in.

Wednesday we helped him.

With our hard hats on we used the pulley system to crank that huge beam into the roof. Before we lifted the glue lam {huge beam} Grandpa taught us how to hammer nails into it. He is really strong and was able to pound the nails in with just a few hits.

Later this week will get to go watch and help him frame up the new walls in Mom and Dad's room.
