A Busy Day! A Super Fun Day!

Today truly was a fantastic day. It started off with an early wake up call to get everyone up and moving. We joined the NV Child Seekers for a 1 mile stroll around Green Valley Ranch Station. The weather was mostly sunny, but with the wind there was a chill in the air. Our group consisted of Mima, Katie, Aunt Jen, Cameron, Haley, Jessie, and of course our usual 4! We started off the walk with a steady pace that turned into the adults chasing down the 4 toddlers who wanted to run.

After the stroll that took us about 33 minutes, we played in the Green Valley District. Free food, drinks and carnival games kept us busy and happy for almost an hour. Sam enjoyed the bounce house, and since we started him on his asthma medicine it is the 1st time in a long time he hasn't had to stop running, jumping or just being a kid to catch his breath! That alone made the morning a reason to smile and for the tears even now to be welling up in my eyes.

Our day continued with breakfast at Denny's, followed by the Summerlin NICU Reunion. We make it every year, and always luck out to see our favorite doctor, occupational therapist, and sometimes nurses right away. This year no luck on any of the nurses, but we caught the doc, the OT and even saw the other set of twins that were born the week before we were.

After the NICU party we spent an hour playing at the Children's Museum. We plan to have our birthday party there, and never want to leave. Then a quick visit to see Great Grandpa Hatch who was in the hospital for almost a week. (He is home tonight). Finally we made it home for a much needed nap before our cousins showed up for a surprise sleep over. We will post on the camp out from tonight, tomorrow. It is lights out for the last human awake in this household, as 4 toddlers are sure to be up with the sun tomorrow!
